DryTac MHA Multi-Heat Activated Mounting Adhesive (MHA)

DryTac MHA is a self-wound, heat-activated solvent carrier-free acrylic adhesive designed for use on roller laminators with a heated roller.  DryTac MHA has a low initial tack before heat is applied that allows it to be re-positioned, and it can be heated multiple times to activate the adhesive. After activation is complete, a strong bond is formed.

DryTac MHA offers a superior bond to flexible and rollable substrates, such as Expanded PVC (e.g. Sintra™), and is an excellent solution when paired with Drytac’s MediaShield™ and MHL™ laminates. MHA can also be die cut and is considered self-trimming since it is carrier-free.

Product Structure:

• Adhesive: Solvent Acrylic (Heat Activated) (Low tack and repositionable at first, then strong bond forms), 1 mil (25μ)
• Release Liner: 2 Side PE Coated Bleached Kraft Differential Release Paper (Moisture Stable)

Process Settings:

• Heat Press: 195˚F (91˚C)  with Dwell time of 3 minutes
• Roll Laminator: Room Temperature to 185˚F to 220˚F (85˚C to 104˚C)  with Speed of 1 ft to 8 ft (0.3m to  2.5m) per minute

Uses

• Recommended for mounting of canvas -- where substrate and canvas are noth coated with MHA and married together for a strong bond
• Suitable for manufacturing processes to create a strong bond between two substrates
